welcome
Welcome to Good News Chapel or GNC as we like to call ourselves. Yes it sounds like the Nutrition company, but in a way, we're about bringing health to the whole person and not just their body. Often visiting a new church can be intimidating and unpredictable, so we have added this page to help ease the concerns of a first visit. As people look for churches to visit, one thing that stands out is the Sunday experience. As a Church, we put a high value on Worshiping God and so we believe that God will meet us as we gather to worship Him. If you are thinking about visiting us this Sunday, please come expecting God to work powerfully. Also, we value in growing a growing Community of believers that want to follow Jesus as true Disciples in this generation. The Church is a gathering of sinful people redeemed by the Grace of God in Christ. It is in this hope that we will not come for a religious ceremony or gathering but a dynamic encounter with the Living God with His people. Please say hello when you visit at our Welcome table as you enter the worship chapel.

about us
We are a young congregation of college aged, singles, and married couples with children. GNC was launched on Thanksgiving Sunday of 2002 by our mother Church, Good Stewards Church, a Korean speaking congregation with the vision of creating a partnership of two Churches that would serve our God, our Community and our members together. If you are familiar with the term "English Ministry (EM)" that's exactly what we look like and function like on campus together with the Korean speaking congregation. Rather than calling ourselves an "EM" in the conventional sense, we call ourselves "EM" in that we are the "Extension Ministry" of GSC. As we hold hands in partnership we pray that God will lead us to bridge the gap between generations, languages, and cultures. Our Mission is to "Share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our Communities to build up a Biblical Family of God". God willing, we hope that you will join us for this wonderful adventure in Christ.

what to wear
We dress casually, but if you want to dress up for God feel free. It's not about what we wear on the outside, so long as we are clothed in Righteousness in Christ.

children welcome
If you have children they are very welcome. Our philosophy of worship is what's called a "Covenant Worship" where children join parents in a wonderful worship experience. If your child is an infant or toddler that loves to move around, we have a "Cry Room" in the back of our Chapel where parent(s) and child(ren) can have a comfortable place to roam, feed and worship. We recommend bringing activities and small snacks for the children during worship if they become a bit restless. We are currently in the process of developing our children's program during our worship hour that will be a specific time of teaching geared just for our children during the message time. But if you would like to stay for Bible study after worship and fellowship, a full blown children's program is available at the 11:30 hour.

following worship
Just after the worship, there are refreshments and snacks at the covered outdoor picnic area. Please join us and meet our church. If you didn't fill out a form on the way in, please fill one out in the foyer as you leave. After the fellowship time, we have what we call "2nd Hour" where we divide into various small group bible studies led by our Pastoral staff. It starts at 11:45-1:00pm. Please ask about it at the welcome table if you are interested.
